An emblematic site of the Hauts-de-France region (Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardy), this jewel of the Opal Coast is located in the Pas-de-Calais between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais.
Remarkable for the diversity of its landscapes, the variety of environments and coastal villages, it constitutes the coastal strip of the Regional Natural Park of the Opal Caps and Marshes. Its location at the gateway to the Strait of Dover offers an exceptional view of England.
The Grand Site de France des Deux-Caps covers an area of 7500 hectares, with a coastline of 23km, includes 8 municipalities (Sangatte, Escalles, Wissant, Tardinghen, Audinghen, Audresselles, Ambleteuse and Wimereux) which are part of 3 inter-municipalities (Calais and Boulonnais agglomeration communities, La terre des 2 caps communities of municipalities) and a little more than 17,000 inhabitants!
